My Journey
They say life is a journey, and in terms of my personal experience, I would say that sentiment holds very true. I have spent my life travelling down countless paths in search of truth, meaning, or sometimes just to see where a particular path would lead. While this perpetual motion of going from one quest to another proved exciting for a time, after a while it became monotonous, even exhausting in many ways. Still, this seemed the only choice for me as, despite my endless searching, I had yet to find a place to call home.
Having given up on ever finding that all-elusive home, I decided my life would be one defined by direction rather than destination. As long as I was heading the right way, that was all that mattered. Even so, I had a hard time accepting the idea that my life would be spent on a proverbial bridge, neither here nor there, never actually arriving at the end.
Then one day, out of the blue, it happened. My feet stepped off the bridge and onto dry, solid ground once again. At first, I didn’t know what to make of the situation as I had given up on believing that the bridge actually had an end. And yet here I was, on terra firma for the first time in what seemed an eternity. I had reached my destination; I had found my promised land.
That’s when I learned an invaluable truth. The reason why no single path had led to this veritable promised land is that, at least for me, this was where numerous paths converged. Only by traveling all the paths needed was I able to reach my destination. This can be a bit tricky to understand since you can only ever travel one path at a time in the physical world. However, in the non-physical world, where the laws of time and space hold no sway, you can travel multiple paths at once without any problem whatsoever.
Veganism, paganism, liberalism, and numerous other paths had brought me through the wilderness of my wanderings and into the promised land of a new way of life. Although each of these are independent in and of themselves, when combined they formed the lifestyle I had been searching for all along. They are the paths that led to the cruelty-free, compassion-driven lifestyle that I live today. They are the paths that led to my New Paradigm.
The Bigger Picture
As mentioned at the start of the site, when you look at the world around us, it can be all too easy to see nothing but chaos, distress, and turmoil. Needless to say, these things are very real, and they are seemingly present in almost every aspect of life. Even so, if you take the time to look just a bit harder, just a bit deeper, you will begin to see a different picture emerging, one that is full of hope and promise.
The number of movements taking shape in order to bring equality to all people and peace to our planet is almost beyond count. From protests against racism and rallies for gay and lesbian rights, to environmentalist groups and animal rights activism, humanity as a whole is answering Nature’s call to arms like never before. Again, these entities are completely independent on the surface, but beneath the surface they share the common traits of being compassion-driven and cruelty-free. And it’s this underlying commonality that is bringing them ever-closer together. Eventually, these paths will converge, and when they do, that is when humanity will enter its promised land.
Needless to say, not all pagans are vegans, and not all vegans are pagans, just to give an example. But nor do they need to be (although it wouldn’t hurt if everyone were vegan). What matters is that people leave behind the control-driven values of the past and awaken to the compassion-driven values of the New Paradigm. Humanity is diverse by nature, so it stands to reason that diversity will continue to define who we are. How we react to that diversity is what truly counts.
Simply put, the chaos we are experiencing now is the death throws of the Old Paradigm. The ever-increasing strife, animosity, and destruction are just the ferocity of a dying animal fighting for every breath that it takes, knowing each one could be its last. Soon, however, this wilderness will begin to give way to signs of a better future, a New Age that is finally beginning to dawn. As more and more people awaken to the call of Nature, they will begin to experience the convergence of paths in their own lives, they will begin to enter their own promised land.
And that is how the New Age will be ushered in. It won’t come on a certain day or year, rather, it will come one person at a time. After all, the only way humanity can change is if each and every individual life changes. Fortunately, if you are reading these words, the chances are you are already a part of this change. You are already following the call of Nature, a call that is leading you to a compassion-driven, cruelty-free lifestyle. Each step you take is a step closer to where your paths will converge, a step closer to entering your own promised land. Hopefully this site has provided some insights and inspirations that will help you on that journey, a journey of growth and transformation. Hopefully this site will help you to enter your New Paradigm.
